Our Policy:

Welcome to the Mobile Security User mobile application (the “Application”) of S2 Security Corporation (“S2 Security”, “we”, “us” and/or “our”). This Application has been developed to provide organizations (“Companies”) and their registered users (“Users”) with security management services, including, but not limited to, message notification, approval workflow, virtual photo ID, virtual credential for physical access, self-mustering capability for evacuations and threat level escalation. This Privacy Policy sets forth our policy with respect to personally identifiable data (“Personal Data”) and other information that is collected from Users.

Scope:

This Privacy Policy explains what Personal Data is collected from you when you use the Application, how your data is used and shared, and your choices concerning your data.

Where you receive access to the Application through a Company, that Company controls the information processed by the Application.  This information, collected on behalf of Companies, includes data collected from Users.

Information collected on behalf of Companies is governed by the Company’s own privacy policies.  We are not responsible for the privacy policies or privacy practices of Companies or other third parties.

By using the Application or voluntarily providing us with Personal Data, you agree to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Application. If you provide Personal Data to us through the Application, you acknowledge and agree that such Personal Data may be transferred from your current location to the offices and servers of S2 Security and the authorized third parties referred to herein.

Information We Collect:

When you interact with us through the Application, we may collect Personal Data and other information from you, as further described below:

Personal Data That Companies Provide About Users: Companies provide Personal Data about Users when Companies grant Users access to the Application. This information may include, for example, a User’s name and contact information.

Other Information:

Non-Identifiable Data: When Users interact with S2 Security through the Application, we receive and store certain personally non-identifiable information. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. S2 Security may store such information itself or such information may be included in databases owned and maintained by S2 Security affiliates, agents or service providers. We may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of Users. It is important to note that no Personal Data is available or used in this process.   

Aggregated Personal Data: In an ongoing effort to better understand and serve Companies and Users, S2 Security may conduct research on its Users’ demographics, interests and behavior based on the Personal Data and other information provided to us. This research may be compiled and analyzed on an aggregate basis, and S2 Security may share this aggregate data with its affiliates, agents and business partners. This aggregate information does not identify you personally. S2 Security may also disclose aggregated User statistics in order to describe our services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

Data Analytics: We may allow third party service providers to use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about your Application usage activities over time. For example, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how Users use the Application and enhance your experience when you use the Application. Virtual Credential Data:  We may allow the Application to interact with third party service providers in order to maintain your virtual credential for physical access.  For example, we may use the virtual credential provided by HID Global Corporation (“HID”). Device Information:  We collect certain information regarding the device you use to access the Application, including the type of device, the operating system, settings, unique device identifiers, and network information.

Our Use of Your Personal Data and Other Information:

S2 Security uses the Personal Data you provide in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If a Company provides a User’s Personal Data for a certain reason, we may use the Personal Data in connection with the reason for which it was provided. For instance, if a Company provides us with Personal Data in order to register a User for the Application, we will use the Personal Data to process the User’s registration. Users can allow the Application to help identify themselves to other S2 Security product suite users that are in close proximity via a Bluetooth connection, or, using a barcode scanner to enable other S2 Security product suite users to muster a User during an evacuation plan. Certain Users, such as security professionals, can also use the S2 Security product suite to send notifications to an individual User and/or groups of Users. S2 Security may also use your Personal Data and other personally non-identifiable information collected through the Application to help us improve the content and functionality of the Application, to better understand our Users, to improve the Application, and for trouble shooting and technical support.  

Our Disclosure of Your Personal Data and Other Information:

There are certain circumstances in which we may share your Personal Data with certain third parties without further notice to you, as set forth below:

Business Transfers: As we develop our business, we might sell or buy businesses or assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, Personal Data may be part of the transferred assets.  

Related Companies: We may also share your Personal Data with our related companies for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Agents, Consultants and Related Third Parties: We may use third-party entities in the ordinary course of business, and therefore we may provide some of your Personal Data directly to them in certain circumstances without further notice to you. In all cases, the use of this Personal Data by third-party entities engaged by S2 Security will be limited to performing services for us. In addition, we employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and email, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, and providing customer service.

Legal Requirements:  S2 Security may disclose User information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) S2 Security's rights or property or other Users, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. S2 Security may disclose User information when we believe in good faith that the law requires the disclosure.

European Union Users:

If you are a User in the European Union, and you would like to exercise one of the rights provided by the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) or otherwise inquire about how your Personal Data is handled by the Application, please contact the Company through which you registered for the Application (often this will be your employer) as that Company is the Controller of your Personal Data under the GDPR.

Security:

S2 Security takes reasonable steps to protect your privacy. However, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your Personal Data will always remain private. We employ various security techniques to safeguard such data from unauthorized access by individuals inside and outside of S2 Security. On the Internet, however, there is no such thing as "100% security,” and in particular, email sent to us may not be secure. Therefore, you should take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email. Please keep this in mind when disclosing any Personal Data to S2 Security via the Internet.

Children:

S2 Security does not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the age of 13.  If you believe that a child under the age of 13 has provided Personal Data to S2 Security through the Application please contact us at [email protected] and we will endeavor to delete that information from our databases.  If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any Personal Data through the Application.

Other Terms and Conditions:

Your access to and use of the Application is subject to the Terms of Service.

Changes to our Privacy Policy:

The Application and our business may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for S2 Security to make changes to this Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Please review this policy periodically, and especially before you provide any Personal Data. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above. Your continued use of the Application after any changes or revisions to this Privacy Policy shall indicate your agreement with the terms of such revised Privacy Policy.
